Sesame chikki

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp butter

Toast the sesame seeds (optional).

Melt the sugar and butter over medium heat. As soon as it's melted, stir in the sesame seeds. Keep stirring, on heat, until everything sticks together.

Pour/dump the mixture onto a Silpat or parchment paper. Put another sheet of parchment on top and roll it to a 1/2 inch sheet with a rolling pin. As it cools, cut it into pieces with a pizza cutter. (If it's tpp hot it'll fuse back together; if it's too cold it'll be too hard to cut.)

WARNING: melted sugar is very hot.
