Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1½ tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp dry oregano leaves
- ½ tsp paprika
- ¼ tsp ground cumin
- ¼ tsp pepper
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire
Add ground turkey, chopped onion, and minced garlic to frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring often, until meat is browned (about 10 minutes). Pour off fat if necessary; if only very lean ground turkey is used, this shouldn't be needed. Stir in spices, tomato sauce and Worcestershire. Simmer until thickened.
This makes about eight tacos. Serve with tortillas, grated cheese, salsa (below), and possibly sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, and taco sauce.
Salsa:
- 2 cloves garlic
- ½ medium onion
- ¼ cup packed cilantro
- 1 lb tomatoes, coarsely chopped
- 1 tablespoon salad oil
- Juice of 1 lime
